Problem Statement for Hackathon

According to a report published by Times of India about 146,133 people were killed in road accidents in India in the year 2019. Unfortunately about 30% of deaths are caused due to delayed ambulance. Another Indian government data shows .. more than 50% of heart attack cases reach hospital late , but majority of it is due to unavailability of ambulances.

Who is responsible for this ominous and drabby condition?

Why don't we engender changes to this deplorable scenario?

The main problem of the whole plot revolves around just one point and that is efficient management of ambulances. How do we make use of the modern technology that can prove so beneficial, and can be a game changer in the current situation?

Each minute of delay in starting emergency treatment of a patient reduces survival chances by 7-10%.

Reducing ambulance response times to 5 minutes could almost double the survival rate for cardiac arrests not witnessed by ambulance crews.

Our project provides an integrated connected system that allows the EMS(Emergence Medical Services) to share medical history of the patient with the ED(Emergency Department). This would be very helpful for the paramedic staff for taking further steps.

Furthermore our project helps in the following important points:-

● Faster response and delivery time for the ambulances

● Drivers have information about patient location, condition and contact details

● Paramedic is well informed and prepared about the condition of the patient and prepares accordingly

● Patients and their relatives can check the location of ambulances along with the information of drivers and paramedics

Another key feature is that the ambulance will be directed through the shortest possible route and this decreases the time taken to reach the destination which makes the process more efficient and which has the power to save innumerable lives.
